A Blessing and a Winner

 May you always have
Walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!
-Irish Blessing

St. Patrick's Day is over, but I'm still dancing a jig here at eye-dyllic!  Notice the "Tea beside the fire" portion of this blessing.  One special person is soon to be enjoying Harney and Son's "Irish Breakfast Tea" beside the warmth of their whistling kettle!

Yesterday evening, my husband hand drew the winner to my recent "Irish Breakfast" Tea Giveaway.  The odds were in favor of one special lady who not only rallied others to the Giveaway, but she also took advantage of the once-a-day entry feature.  I believe this is the first time that someone with multiple entries has won!

CONGRATULATIONS, JOYCE!  I have your address, but you might want to email it to me again to be safe.  I will have the tea shipped directly to you.

THANKS TO EVERYONE who stopped by!  It is wonderful to be surrounded by so many enthusiastic tea lovers!  I will be hosting a Mother's Day Tea Giveaway beginning on May 1st, so mark your calendars!

Irish Blessings

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! Today, my Irish roots are bursting with potatoes! Thank God for the potato gene! I seem to need a daily potato fix!

And, here is an Irish blessing that always warms my heart:

Dance as if no one were watching,
Sing as if no one were listening,
And live every day as if it were your last.
-Irish Blessing

Tea for Tuesday

At 4:04 this morning we experienced a 4.4 rumbling, tumbling quake!  It was centered just a few miles west of us.  Born and raised in Long Beach, I have felt some significant jolts in my life, most of which occurred just before or right after dawn.   It is always a shock, especially when awakened to a rattling structure and unstable terra firma.

I have been purchasing vintage tea cups from eBay and had just arranged them on my mantle top.  Many of them are displayed on tiered stands or simply stacked.  I wondered whether they would withstand the test of an earthquake.  Well, they passed this time, but I'm definitely going to make some changes.
